Stay where the Romans live! Interno 9 is a perfect b&B. The b&b is part of a residential apartment building so you can feel as if you live in Rome for a few days. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the towels soft and large and the Italian breakfast was perfect for us. The owners are so very friendly, that makes it even better. The bus stop to centre is almost at your doorstep but you can also walk to neighbourhoods like Trastevere and Testaccio. Tip: buy your balsamic vinegar etc at the local supermarket. This is much cheaper than in the centre.

Our room was quite big and very clean. We had a private bathroom but I think some room(s) have a shared bathroom. The staff was friendly, but since they only have like three rooms inside a converted apartment they don't have a proper reception. But decide your arrival time and someone will be there. We also got a phone number to them, which we didn't have to use. Breakfast is at a café across the street, just coffee and a croissant but they were both excellent. Ok so it's a bit far from the city center but it's easy and cheap to catch a bus. Plus you get to see a part of Rome that isn't loaded with tourists.
